Can you sense my excitement?. I do love my profession on most days. But, I do have to vent about my year a little. I have way to many children, way to many IEP's and WAY to much paperwork. I actually feel like a secretary and not a teacher. I have never looked forward to summer so much in my entire life. I have encountered non-teacher's before who have said to me, "Why do you have so much vacation? I only get a week of vacation." I would like to remind the non-teachers out there that you can go re- apply to college and obtain your teaching certificate. I would also like to remind them that we make nothing.And get up at 5:00 am. Teachers deserve every minute of summer vacation. So, to all the teachers out there, HAPPY SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Louisville Zoo Wedding

I had a fabulous weekend! One of my best friends, a sorority sister from college got married and had the reception at the Louisville Zoo. Here are some of the adorable details:

The rehearsal dinner was at Nick's parent's house in Anchorage. So cute! Love the big pictures.

The wedding party boarding the train to the reception tent. Jenna's dress was champagne colored and looked gorgeous on her! The bridesmaids are wearing J Crew with an added sash.

Enjoying the train ride through the zoo. This reception spot gets two thumbs up from me. It was so unique and the perfect reflection of Jenna and Nick's personality. Plus, the gorilla was adorable!

Got this for 50% off at Peppermint Palm this weekend! Love me some Lilly!!! Wanted to buy whole store. Restrained myself. Was thinking it would be cute to wear to the JL Horse Show. Have tons of tickets if anyone is interested!  If you don't like horses you can shop or people watch. Or hang out with me. Will be there every night since I am Grounds Chair this year. Ahhh! Blog Therapy

I am not sure who exactly reads my blog. Since my blog is new I have changed the name a few times. I decided, "Katie" was just plain boring. I kind of like "Kentucky Katie" and think I will keep it. You might also be wondering why I have made 3 new posts in one weekend. Yes, I am somewhat of a nerd. But I do have an excuse this time. I have been feeling sick all weekend and decided to rest. I think it is a combination of no sleep, super stress from work and hectic social schedule. So, I am completely enjoying a little blog therapy,pj's and lifetime television.

Graduation and Chicago?

My younger brother graduated from Western Kentucky University last weekend. How exciting!It was so nice to be home with family. He left the next day for Chicago to look for a job. I am hoping the job hunt is successful and he finds something he likes. Plus, what a great place to visit.... I am dying to visit 1154 Lill Studio  and design my own bag! Favorite Derby Outfits

I am not a fan of Grey Goose. Actually I don't like any vodka. But, Molly Simms has my vote for the best dressed celeb at the Derby.We must have the same taste since we are both from Western KY....
